Exploring art in-depth
Our classes explore a rich variety of artistic techniques and ideas, from mastering colour theory and perspective to understanding composition and design. Students build practical skills that grow with them over time. We also journey through the fascinating world of art history—traditional, contemporary, folk, and street art—cultivating a global appreciation for creativity. These elements are introduced naturally through organic discussions, creating an engaging atmosphere without feeling overly formal or instructional.
With hands-on projects across different media and thought-provoking conceptual art challenges, kids learn to think critically, express themselves with purpose, and discover the joy of making art.

I’m Mel, a practicing artist with over 25 years of experience in professional painting and graphic design. I’ve lived in the Northern Rivers for over 40 years, and am a homeschooling parent who understands the importance of creativity in learning. Art is more than a skill; it’s a way for kids to explore, express, and discover themselves. My classes blend hands-on techniques with a love for the creative process, helping kids find their voice through art.
